Description
During the final week of expo this summer I modified the version of survex on the expo laptop to print cross sections with the arrow heads < and > rotated to the orientation of both the LRUD and the bearing of the page. Wookey then made this into a patch and emailed it to Olly but it has not reappeared since. What has become of it.

I've been having a play with this. I don't have a printer, but printing to PDF the arrows look rather intrusive - did you try drawing up on a printout with them on? I'm a bit concerned they'll get in the way of the sketch.
Having them more clearly associated with the stations is certainly a help though. Maybe making them grey would help.

The arrow stems were there to help identify stations with the LRUDs, and there should be a variable in plotLR which changes their length for 0 to 1, but I forget what I called it. I tried to figure out how to make the lines grey as well, but I didn't get there.
Since expo I have forgotten how to access the source files for it and so it may take me a while before I can do anything more myself, but I'm working on it.

I've attached the patch (with the trivial cleanup of removing all the Only in ...
lines) as I just spent several minutes finding where I'd downloaded it to before.
Will try to get this merged soon.

Thanks for that patch.
It's not lost, just still in my todo pile but rather buried by the post-expo work backlog. Wookey implied the patch needed a bit more work, and I didn't want to hold up getting a version out for all platforms which could actually process the current CUCC dataset successfully.
