Description
Surface legs currently display as a very bright white which obscures underground legs. It would be better if they displayed by default in a less-overpowering grey. This is particularly important when using surface legs to show topography.
An option to colour surface legs by altitude would also make it much easier to visualize topography.

Disregarding terrain, for road/path tracklogs which have been turned into surface surveys, it would be preferable to display the surface legs in grey instead of very bright white. The white totally overwhelms the less brightly coloured underground legs. This is particularly noticeable when taking screenshots to use in presentations.

For the rendered terrain looks fantastic, but you may want to consider adding an option to colour by altitude. With colour-by-altitude on terrain, it is easy to see at a glance which underground passages are close to the surface, which parts of the area are below resurgence level, etc.
Terrain rendering is close to finished, so I'm not very keen to expend effort making it easier to abuse other features to render terrain:

The rendered terrain is currently 30% opaque, which allows the cave below to be clearly seen.
