    1 I solved my immediate problem using AppCleaner, and a fresh install. F11 is a problematic choice on a Mac, because it gets caught by the OS for the volume control on the speakers, and if you turn that off, it's also used for a function that slides the current app off the screen so that you can access whatever's underneath.
