#134 | duplicate | Southern Hemisphere Altitude Reversal?
Description |
Hi, I'm exporting a .SVX file as .KLM format (to use with other GIS data, created by a friend). All fine, except that a ‘fix’ GPS point (in the.SVX file) with elevation, say, +100m will appear in the .KLM file as -100. Ditto for .SVX files exported as .GPX. That is, the sign of the elevation is flipped. (lats & longs are fine, I think - the original is in UTM, Survex turns them into degrees.) Results in a cave growing out of the earth. I am using this on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, caves with Aven 1.2.27, on an iMac running OS 10.15.7. What have I missed? Cheers, Heiko |

#56 | fixed | Sort out handling of geoid
Description |
Currently the altitude of GPS fixes and hence of cave entrances attached to them doesn't match the altitude of terrain from DEM files very well - the difference seems to be a few 10s of metres. Newer versions of proj have support for geoids, which should solve this: https://trac.osgeo.org/proj/wiki/VerticalDatums I think proj >= 4.8.0 is needed - the release announcement for it includes "Added preliminary vertical datum support". That was released 2012-03-14, so shouldn't be an unreasonable requirement. It would be good to coordinate how vertical datums are handled with therion, but they didn't respond to my email to their list about doing so. |

#108 | fixed | SVG Export question/odditity
Description |
I am working to export a 'shadow' version of my project. I tried many options and finally got the export as SVG with walls. The export worked fine but looking at the image, something didn't look correct. I thought it might be program importing image so I tried a generic SVG viewer and see the same thing. It appears some of the passage dimensions are reversed in the SVG version versus the Aven displaced Tubes. (trying to figure out how to attach the SVG and an Aven screen shot for comparison) |
